I have mentioned in previous blogs how important it is to surround yourself with like-minded individuals that are going to help you work towards exceeding your health and wellness goals. This is important and needs to be stated once again. There are numerous benefits to having the right social support network whenever you are trying to implement changes in your life. The changes you aspire to put in place are new, challenging and sometimes overwhelming. There is only so much that we as individual can process and overcome. This is where your support team comes into play. Having a hard time getting up the motivation to hit the gym and break a sweat? Text one of your training partners and let them know, it is OK to share! We all have down days, you, I and everyone else. You will only feel even more crummy after for missing a perfectly good training session that will help you release endorphin that make you feel great, melatonin that helps you get awesome sleep and so on.
Get it? Training is GOOD for us!

You can train, sweat and achieve together. When the going gets tough it is great to have some folks you care about right there with you helping you push past the pain to new levels of fitness.
So whatever your community may be, make sure it is positive and assuring that there is no such a thing as a ‘bad day at the gym’. Remember, when you are at the gym you are off the couch and that is the biggest win of all!
